Membership
Of their approximately 30 million customers, almost

only establish the legal form of the "registered cooperative" ( eG ). It also
gives the cooperative bank the specific mandate to promote members and the
member a right of co-determination. This distinguishes cooperative banks from
all other credit institutions.
